WETLAND CONSERVATION
The SWCD assists cities, townships, citizens and county departments in the administration of the Minnesota Wetland Conservation Act. SWCD staff provides technical assistance and acts as the "clearing house" for wetland and water related activities throughout Rock County.

Why the two offices?
The Farm Service Agency will pass your 1026 to the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS). They verify that you will remain in compliance with the Federal Wetland Conservation Act.
The application with the SWCD verifies that you will remain in compliance with the State Wetland Conservation Act.
